I've been here several times for drinks prior to this visit and always enjoyed the experience. This time we were a group celebrating a birthday and we had the small room in the back of the bar which worked out perfectly. The servers were attentive and helpful. There were a variety of things ordered but everything I tried was very good! The chorizo fritters and buttermilk biscuits were ordered for the table and disappeared within minutes. Delicious! The beau and I had a smash burger and crispy chicken salad. Both hit the spot. I heard lots of ooohs and aaaahs from the table indicating a happy bunch of people. The most popular cocktails at the table were the orange crush and yes to heaven. Pretty and delicious! The beau spoke of a return visit which is a true seal of approval.

We live in the Village and stopped in unexpectedly for an early dinner. I have to say the staff are super friendly and attentive. We had great service. It's a bar, but their food is much higher grade than most bars. We got the squash toast (surprisingly yummy), sprouted cauliflower (so good), veggie burger (I am vegan) and my husband got the Caesar salad with chicken ( my husband doesn't like Caesar dressing, he loved the vinaigrette). Love the interior with high ceilings and dark wood. Overall great experience and pleasantly surprised by the food offerings.

A West Village Must Do! Any establishment in this restaurant group is guaranteed to deliver, but there's something about the Spaniard that feels, just, so "right." Everything from the warm and attentive staff, to the high quality food- continues to impress. - Haven't had a bad bite at the Spaniard but if you leave without trying the Smash Burger, sorry. - Extensive whisky list, and must visit for any serious cocktail lover. - Full dinner menu - Plenty of intimate seating areas, and great for groups.

Ahhhhh the Spaniard, a titan of industry when industry is defined as lively bars to go out and get active in NYC. I get kinda insecure when I come here though because it is the Tall Clean Cut White Boy Who Works in Finance capital of the world... I mean I am 5'10.5...in shoes...that's tall right? Well I write yelp reviews so......yeah I have a lot to offer that they don't...... I mean I think I'm kinda funny... right? The only thing I don't love about the Spaniard is that it gets so packed to the point where you can barely move. To get from one side of the bar to another you need to be doing swim moves like a prime Aaron Donald. I know they're known for good cocktails but I kind of just come in here and drink rolling rocks ahahaha. I don't even know why. The vibe in here just calls for a rolling rock. I have a good feeling in my soul that I will find my wife at a 5pm or 10pm Spaniard run..... IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Came for drinks one evening. A friend made a reservation ahead of time, and our party of 5 had a great time at a table outside. I tried The Fix Is In and Swimmer cocktails, which were both great. Also got the veggie burger and fries, plus tried the calamari and brussels sprouts. The fries and calamari were both excellent. Service was solid.

I came here on a Sunday night. I sat outside with a friend and we shared the Pink Palace. It was super yummy and refreshing. Our server was great and very nice. I would definitely come back to sit inside and to see what it's like on a Friday or Saturday night.
